Thirdly, we address any areas of staining that may appear due to the foods and beverages we consume. Foods like berries, turmeric and beetroot, as well as beverages such as coffee, red wine, and soft drink all cause discolouration that can be removed through dental prophylaxis. Is it a professional cleaning covered by my health fund?

Yes; If you are with a health fund that includes access to dental benefits, they should cover a portion of the cost. Most health funds allow up to 2 professional cleans per year.
